The workshop followed the PIER workshop “Joint DESY/UHH perspectives on water research” that took place in June 2022. This time, it was focused on young researchers from the CMWS network hosted at DESY with strong participation of groups at UHH. The lectures of the workshop were given by five local (DESY/UHH) speakers and complemented by three external experts from the CMWS network. The lectures taught the young researcher in methods studying molecular water. Thus, it deepened the connections within the CMWS network and showed the research possibilities at UHH and DESY. The workshop was a platform for students to foster collaboration between local groups to complement the individual research agendas.
